Engineering is the ability (know-how) to solve problems optimally following the appropriate process.
Maybe, it is not the best definition, but it is what I understand as Engineering. I know it is very difficult to know what it is the optimum way or what process is the best for our current problem. But this problem, in the beginning, does that engineering improves every day.
